Born October 21st, 1919 in Moncton, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, February 19th, 2011. Cecilia was a longtime active member in the Catholic Women’s League in Sudbury, Moncton and Bowmanville. Her life-long faith was the foundation for her life on earth. She shared her joy with all who came into contact with her and all who knew Cecilia knew her warm and vibrant smile. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Walton and is survived by her sister Reta Tapp; sons Jack, Michael (Marianne), Gerard, Paul (Kathryn) and daughter Agnes (Colin) Rowe; nine grand-children and twelve great grand-children and predeceased by her oldest son David.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at ST. JOSEPH’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Bowmanville, Saturday, February 26th, 2011 followed by cremation. Interment will take place in August at Our lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Moncton, N.B.
