Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, of Aletha (Large) Donovan of Cornwall, age 73 years.
Loving mother of Wayne Doull (Leslie) and Richard Doull (deceased). Grandmother of Lindsay, Megan, Angela, Jeffrey, Stephanie and Johnathon. Great-grandmother of Carlos, Madison, Bianca, Colby Lynn, Amdraia. Sister of Raymond Large (Elaine), Phyllis MacDonald, Betty Peters (Ray) and Lowell Large (Evelyn). Sister-in-law of Jean Large and Margaret Large-Collicut. Special friends Opal and Ron Almas. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Leonard; brothers, Wendell and Harry; and brother-in-law, Roy MacDonald.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Charlottetown, on Friday, March 4, 2 p.m.
Memorial donations to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
Interment later in Sherwood Cemetery.
During Aletha’s five-year struggle with cancer treatments and many surgeries she never failed to smile and joke with the staff. She was loved by all.
