Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, on February 22, 2011, GEORGE BANDY FAREWELL, of Creston South, NL, in his 88th year. Leaving to mourn his, sons Charles (Verlie), Collins Cove, Cecil (Jess), Halifax, NS, William, Creston South, Austin, Creston South, Henry (Claudia), Marystown, daughters Elizabeth Murphy (Michael), Little Bay, Rona Legge, Marystown, Ruby Pardy (Rendell), Garnish, Nora Stapleton (Vince), Marystown, Florence Cleal, Alberta, Cindy Smith (Keith), Halifax, NS, Brenda Power, Marystown; 28 Grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by his sons Wade & Henry, daughter Mavis, brothers Samuel and John Farewell, and sisters Vera Farewell, Martha Grandy and Isabel Farewell. Rev. Hubert F. Tucker conducted the Funeral Service at Calvary United Church, Creston South, on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery in Creston South.
