Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank, on Sunday, February 27, Mary J. Walters of Grand Bank, age 90yrs. Predeceased by parents Edward and Anna Rogers, husband Russell, and brothers William George Rogers and Chesley Rogers. Leaving to mourn: son Chesley(Barbara) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; 2 grandchildren Russell(Veronica) of Ottawa and Kathy(David) of Halifax; 2 great grandchildren Jacob and Jordan.Sisters in law Elsie Burton of Grand Bank and Carrie Rogers of Toronto. Also, a circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Lewis E. Crewe from Grand Bank United Church at 2pm on Thursday, March 3rd. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Betty Rogers. Pallbearers were Ned Rogers, Charlie Rogers, Joe Norman, Ches Cluett, Kevin Burton and Alister Buffett. Donations in her memory may be made to Grand Bank United Church Cemetery Fund.
