Maria Belliveau
Sr. Maria Belliveau, in religion, Sister Marie-Consolata, passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton, where she resided. She was 96 and in her 77th year of her religious profession. Born July 15, 1914 in St-Paul, NB, she was the daughter of the late Dominique and Julie (Cormier) Belliveau. Besides her religious family, she is also survived three sisters: Yvonne of St. Antoine, Sr. Rita, ndsc, of Moncton and Alvina of Rogersville, a brother, Joseph of St. Antoine, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by five sisters: Zélia, Lucie, Jeanne, Sr. Anna, ndsc, and Sr. Dominica, ndsc; three brothers: Zoël, Irénée and Edgar.
Sister Maria will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d'Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Friday March 4 from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 5, 2011 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook.
