NEW GLASGOW – Ronald Irving Breen, age 51 of Glen Haven Manor and formerly of Albert St., New Glasgow, passed away on Monday, July 13th, 2009, in the manor.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Russell and Bessie (Arthur) Breen.
Ronald was a lifelong resident of New Glasgow. A welder by trade, he was a former employee of TrentonWorks. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Ronald enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Surviving are his daughter, Amanda Breen of New Glasgow; sisters: Vivian Breen of New Glasgow, Shirley (Fred) Rutledge of New Glasgow, Diane Breen of New Glasgow, Judy (Guy) Johnston of New Glasgow, Bernadette (Donnie) Aikens of New Glasgow; brothers: Lawson (Heidi) of Chance Harbour, Richard (Mary) of Antigonish, Russell (Susan) of Pictou Landing, Joey (Kathy) of Stellarton, Peter (Barb) of Stellarton; a number of nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Kevin, a sister Elizabeth in infancy.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home. A public memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to Glen Haven Manor.
