Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on March 2, 2011, Buzz Rhinelander, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Elaine (nee Rodgers) in 1999, sister Chris Phillips of Regina, SK. Leaving to mourn his family, Jason and Cindy, Ray and Andrea and grandchildren: Jessica and Aaron, also leaving to mourn brothers: Gordon (Carol), Regina, SK, Gary (Nora), Newmarket, ON., John (Peggy), Regina, SK; sister Audrey (Bill) Burtwell, Calgary, AB, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A former member of the Canadian Air Force as well as a former member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Buzz was an important member of the St. John’s business community, opening the first Tim Horton’s store in Newfoundland with his wife Elaine in 1977. His wit and charm were evident to all those who had the opportunity to know him. At Buzz’s request, cremation has taken place.
