ST. LOUIS DE KENT, NB – Luc Babineau 93, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, March 4th, 2011 at the Villa Maria, St. Louis. Born in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Pierre and late Mélanie (Daigle) Babineau. Before retiring, Luc was a carpenter, and also served in the army. He attended Saint-Louis-de-Francais Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #30, Richibucto. Luc will be sadly missed by his wife; Lauza (née McGrath) Babineau, his two daughters; Irène Lang (Marcel) of Montreal, QC, Rose-Mai Kavanagh (Guy) – Montreal, QC, his son; Yvon Babineau (Rose-Ella) of St. Louis, his eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, his sister; Eda Landry (late Yvon) of St. Louis, his three brothers; Pierre of Shediac, Antoine (late Lorraine) of Shediac, Napoleon (Lilianne) of Leominister, MASS, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Other than by his parents, Luc is predeceased by his sister; Marie, and three brothers; Sylvestre, Xavier, and David.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, and Monday from 2pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 7th, 2011 at 4:00pm, St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
