Aurele Lavoie

1919 - 2011 - Aurele Lavoie, 91, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Sunday, March 6th, 2011, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late David and the late Olympe (née: Caissie) Lavoie. Mr. Lavoie had retired from # 5 Depot, he was a WW II veteran, having served with the army, a member of the Club d’Age D’Or de Dieppe and the Ste-Thérèse parish. He is survived by two daughters: Jacqueline Lavoie and Irma (Paul) Gould, both of Dieppe; three sons: Paul (Christianne) of Grande Digue, André (Hélène) of Grand Barachois and Daniel of Dieppe; three sisters: Bertha LeBlanc of Moncton, Rita Ethier (André) of Montréal, QC and Thérèse (Antoine) Melanson of Moncton; two brothers: Francis of Montréal, QC and Edgar (Maria) of Connecticut; six grandchildren one great grandson and also by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Aurella in 2006 and also by one brother, Willie.
By request, no visitation will be held at the funeral home. Funeral will be celebrated at the Chartersville Funeral Home chapel, 363 Amirault St., Dieppe (857-1901) on Wednesday, March 9, 2010 at 2 pm. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc., the Arthritis Society or NB Heart and Stroke would be appreciated by the family. www.chartersville.com
