MAHER, Janet Elaine – Passed peacefully away on Monday, October 20, 2008 in the presence of family, Janet Maher, aged 51 years. Predeceased by father John Alexander Maher, Susan Gordon and Dewey Gordon. Leaving to mourn her mother Elizabeth; brother Dan and special sister-in-law Kathy; sister Catherine; brother Tim (Cathy) and special nephews: Travis (Roberta) and Danny Maher; great-nieces and buddies: Bryanna and Samantha Maher; extended family Jean (Nan) Gordon, Doug (Bim) Gordon, Bev Gordon, Heather (Nick) Gordon; nephews and nieces “by marriage”: John Paul (Mel) Gordon, Sarah (John) Williams, Melissa Gordon, Chris and Cassandra Horan, Rebekah Gordon; Florida Buddies: Gary and Jos Pike, John and Barb Kerrivan and Len and Claudette Squires; many relatives, all of her special Olympic family and the many co-workers of the Taxation Centre. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from St. Peter’s Parish on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
