WILLIAMS, Douglas St. Clair, 56, of Birchtown passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Sandy Point he was a son of the late Gerald and Gladys Mae (Oickle) Williams. Doug was employed for most of his working life as an Autobody Technician, his most recent employment with Huskilson’s Chrysler. Doug always enjoyed playing drums and in previous years played in local bands along with his youngest daughter Karen. Family and friends were always welcomed at Doug’s house. Doug always made time to help anyone with a car problem, or wherever he could lend a hand. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jeanne (Acker) Williams; daughters, Elaine, Kentville; Karen (Tony), Provost, Alta; sons, Christopher and Tyler, Birchtown; grandchildren, Dillan and Rhiannon; brothers, Leslie (Dora); Lamont; sisters, Beulah (Doug) Wolfe; Vivian (Bobby) Lloyd; Elizabeth; Marlene (Don) Croft; Shirley (Ralph) Morton; Aunt Elsie and Uncle Bun, Canning; mother in-law, Isabelle Acker, Birchtown; sister in-law Brenda (Eric) Frampton, Birchtown; brother in-law Sam (Cara) Acker, Fall River, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 2, in Christ Anglican Church, Shelburne with Reverend Ed Trevors officiating. Burial in Mizpah Cemetery, Birchtown. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Mizpah Cemetery.
