1930 - 2011 - Hélène Breau, 80, passed away peacefully at the Spring Hill Hospice in Spring Hill, Florida on the 24th of February, 2011. Born in Halifax, NS on the 28th of April, 1930, she was the daughter of Zoel Melanson and Marie Bourgeois from the Old Shediac Road in Memramcook. She is survived by her husband Méderic Breau, a son Léonard of Salem, Oregon, two daughters, Patricia Hunt and Jeannita Walsh of Malborough, Mass, a daughter Andréa Breau from St. Petersburg, Florida; five grandchildren, Hilary Breau, Salem, Oregon, Cy Harper, Las Vegas, Nevada, Tabatha Stearns, Worcester, Mass, Joshua Boisse, Malborough, Mass and Jacob Breau, now deployed in Afghanistan; five great grandchildren Cortney, Mason, Samantha, Eleonore and Emily and a sister Jeannita (Rhéal) LeBlanc. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Claudette in 1977.
There were no visitations but a prayer service was held on Sunday at St. Francis Cabrini Church in Spring Hill Florida and also in Malborough. Funeral Services will be held in Malborough, Mass in the spring.
