Acil Cole
Acil P. Cole, 92, of Riverview and formerly of Turtle Creek, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday morning, March 7, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late George and Rosillah (Rogers) Cole. Acil was retired from Moncton Cold Storage Ltd. and attended Lower Turtle Creek Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the Canadian Army. Acil will be sadly missed by his wife of 71 years, Helen (Berry) Cole; children, Joan Brooks (Blair), Riverview, Nancy Cole, Turtle Creek, Maxine Killam (Wayne), Riverview, Acil Jr. (Linda), Upper Coverdale; sixteen grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Robert (1976); sisters, Emma, Irene, Hazel, Beatrice, Gladys, Evelyn and Lillian; brothers, Art, Elmer, George, Percy, Bliss and Lester.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday March 14, 2011, 1:30 pm, Rev. Blake Bartlett officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
