Passed suddenly away at the Health Science Complex on March 5, 2011 at the age of 63. Predeceased by his father John (Jack) Hannam; father-in-law Llewellyn Smith; and brother-in-law Kevin Morris. Leaving to mourn are his wife of 43 years, Yvonne (nee Smith); children: Belinda (Kevin), Angie (Hayward), Jackie, Jeanine (Barry), and Evan (Helen); mother Iris Hannam; sister Georgina; mother-in-law Betty Smith; sister-in-law Eunice (Ron); brothers-in-law: Leonard (Carolyn) and Craig (Tina); four grandchildren which he thought the world of, Kyla, Jacob, Claire, and Haydn; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Glyn was a loving Husband, devoted father and a great poppy to his family. Glyn’s other passion was his work where he was a long time member, president and voice for his local union at Eastern Health and served on many boards to help better labour relations. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2 p.m from St. Thomas Anglican Church with cremation to follow.
