The family of Lillian (Nan) are saddened to announce her death at the Queen Elizabeth hospital on Sunday March 6, 2011.
With her family by her side, she gave up her four-year battle with cancer and went to her heavenly home. She is lovingly remembered for her kindness, generosity to others and her genuine love for her family, we miss her already.
Predeceased by her husband, L.T. Beaton, and her parents, Edgar and Vina Farrar. Mom and friend to her seven children, Deryl (Sharon), Veda (Roy) Genge, Sherry (Andrew) Hutchinson, Harry (Amy), Gary (Kim), Dar (Harold) Hill and Jannet (Roddy) MacDonald. Special Nan to 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters, Rita and Louise, brothers Bill and Ken. She will be missed by her sisters, Edna, Velma, Pearl, Shirley and Marion, by her brothers, Lloyd and Jamie. Lovingly and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and family friends.
The family is grateful to the Q.E.H. Oncology Unit and Unit 8 for their great care and support to all of us.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from Spring Park United Church at 11 a.m. Interment later in the Appin Road Cemetery.
Family flowers only, however if so desired memorials to the Oncology Unit of the QEH would be appreciated.
