Emelia Forbes

1923 - 2011 - Emelia Forbes, 87, of Dieppe, NB passed away on Monday, March 7th, 2011, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Bouctouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and the late Helda (née: Pellerin) Cormier. Mrs. Forbes was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe and Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, where she participated in playing darts and cards and a member of Ste-Thérèse parish. She is survived by three daughters: Norma Forbes of Dieppe, Linda (Eric) Logan and Doris Orr (Alvin Geddes), both of Moncton; two sisters: Huberte Cormier of Moncton and Doreen (late Paul) Borgal of Dieppe; five brothers: Joe (late Viola) Cormier and Harvey (June) Cormier, both Hartford Conn., Normand (Shirley) Cormier of Alabama, Ronald Cormier and Alphonse (Marielle Dupont) Cormier, both of Moncton; four grandchildren: Nathan (Nicole), Scott (Heather), Victoria and Elizabeth; four great grandchildren: Evelyn, Allison, Philip and Olivia as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry in 1980; one sister, Doris and also by three brothers: Edgar, Yvon and Robert.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Saturday, March 12th, 2011 at 11am. Interment at Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
