Phyllis “Irene” Warner of Moose Jaw passed away on March 7, 2011 at the age of 96. Irene resided at High Park Towers and was one of the original tenants. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 59, loved her teddy bears, and was an avid sports fan, especially the Toronto Blue Jays. She enjoyed crafting, and always had a project on the go, loved word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, cards and of course Bingo. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Victor; her parents Arthur and Rachel Harrison; sister Olive Cook; brother Victor; and son-in-law J. W. Elliott. Irene will be sadly missed by her daughters Lorraine Elliott and Phyllis (Bob) McLaren; grandchildren Jim Elliott of Calgary, Denise (Kevin) Junek of Regina, Rob McLaren of Calgary, Lori McLaren of Calgary; great-grandchildren Brandon, Lauren, Tyler, Lanni, R.C., Nicole, Samantha; great-great-grandchildren Kol, Kori May and Liam; sisters Gladys Kindred of Regina, Marjorie Damour of Moose Jaw, Dorothy Winstanley of England; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones and Son Chapel on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7-8 pm at the Funeral Home. In living memory of Irene, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
