Elaine Duncan of Rowley, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on August 17, 1949, she was the daughter of Leatha (Weston) and the late Herbert McGrath. Elaine is survived by her mother, Leatha, husband Donald, son Craig (Mandie), two grandchildren Taylor and Carter, sisters Mary Snell (Brian), Carol Ryan (Art), Patricia Davis (Jamie), Paula Dobblesteyn (Jamie), brothers Stirling (Marilyn), Michael (Donna), Richard (Martha), Danny (Debbie), several nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Elaine was pre-deceased by one niece, Sarah McGrath. Elaine worked in Sales & Service at Bayview Kenworth for many years. She was a woman who was devoted to her family and church.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 6 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, Loch Lomond Road on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00am. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Black River. For those who wish, remembrances to Divine Mercy School, the Hope Center, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
