It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Peach, 50, of Port Morien. Kenneth passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, at the VG Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Jean Peach.
He was with St John’s Ambulance and was an instructor with Brigade 390. He also was an instructor with New Waterford Emergency Systems — medical coverage and installer. He was employed with the commissionaires.
Kenneth was with the Port Morien Volunteer Fire Department. He was a medic in the reserves. He also was employed at Cape Breton Security. Kenneth was a leader with the Cape Breton Regional Police Youth Group.
Kenneth will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Ann Marie (Sean) MacDonald, Sydney River, twins, Edith and Kendra Peach, Port Morien. Also surviving are three cherished grandchildren, Mark, Victoria and Nicole; and many friends.
Besides his mother, Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Karen (Matheson).
Visitation for Kenneth will be held Thursday, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Port Morien, with Rev. Judi Phillips officiating. Interment will be in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Donkin.
