The family of the late Greg MacQuarrie would like to offer our sincere thank you to the countless people who showed support and love to us during our recent, sudden loss. A special thank you to Fr. Conrad Edwards who showed us so much compassion and gave us such comfort. The eulogy you gave was touching, personal and heartfelt. We also thank Dad’s cousin, Fr. Joe MacKinnon, for the memorial mass he held at his parish in TImberlea this week.
To the choir, organist, and servers at St. Joseph’s Parish, thank you for contributing to the lovely service. We thank especially Tom, Debbie and Margaret for the readings during Mass. To the staff at T.W. Curry’s, especially Trevor, Kenny, Frank and Judy, for patiently guiding us, and helping us with all the details. To the staff in Emergency and ICU at the CB Regional, thank you for your professional service to our Dad and family during the difficult time in the hospital. We want to specially thank our friends, neighbors, co-workers and in-laws who did more than we could ever ask or expect. For everyone who brought food, sent cards, Mass cards, the beautiful flowers, and made donations – thank you. To Mary Jean, Tara, Karen, Marnie and Jimmy, and Matt and Nora, for remembering all the details we didn’t, and for doing all you did. To the Pallbearers, Matthew, Glenn, Derek, Darrell, Michael, Danny and Glenn, we thank you for walking beside our Dad. To everyone from the Mira Seniors & Pensioner’s Centre, thank you for the support and friendship you have shown and continue to show. For everyone who was present, and to those who were with us in spirit, we say thank you. Dad’s family was the most important thing to him, and it was truly overwhelming to see everyone who travelled to be with us. The comfort you gave us during your own grief was remarkable.
Losing Dad has left a large void in our Family. We all aspire to be as well thought of as he is, and we will never forget the love shown to us during this difficult time. To all who raised a glass to Dad, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Our most sincere thank you –
