Alice Mae Munro, 87, of Scotsburn, formerly of Watervale, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Arborstone Enhanced Care, Halifax.
Born in Barrington Passage, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Vera Hogg.
Alice loved animals and enjoyed going to dances and card parties. Alice was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by son Allan Hogg, Blue Mtn.; grandchildren, Kelly, Fredericton and David, Toronto; close friend Juanita MacKinnon, Durham; niece Louanna Hawkins, Dartmouth and nephews, Gerald Foance, Saltsprings and Robert Foance, Halifax.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman Munro; two sisters, Margaret and Louise; a brother Leslie and sister-in-law Mary Foance.
Visitations will be held Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Saltsprings.
