The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, of Millie Gallant, wife of the late Vincent Gallant, of North Rustico, age 90.
Millie was the loving mother of Ron (Dianne) and Brian; and proud grandmother of Phillip and Russell. She is also survived by her brother, Leo R. Gallant (Teresa), Rusticoville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Millie was predeceased by her parents, Joseph L. and Nazarine (Doiron) Gallant; brothers, Elliot (Muriel), Alyre, Leo, Martha (Bobby) and Irene (Leo).
Resting at the McNeill Room, Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, for visitation on Thursday, March 10, 2011, from 6-9 p.m. The Catholic Women’s League will hold a prayer service on Thursday at 5:45 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Friday, March 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
