The death of Katherine (Kaye) Pickard of Scotch Settlement, NB, occurred at Pine Grove Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 9th, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Edgar) Pickard. Katherine attended the University of New Brunswick and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. She was a member of the Keswick Ridge United Church, a past member of the IODE, and the International Training Communications. She was a member of the Capital Winters Club Business girl’s section and the Parkinson’s Associations. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and walking. She was very passionate in the history of family heirlooms, updating of her family tree and reading. Survived by one brother, Charles Pickard of Scotch Settlement, York County and several cousins in New Brunswick, Ontario and Alberta.
There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 11th, 2011 at 4:00 pm. Rev. Dr. Amos Adeniyi officiating. Interment will be in the Pickard Merrithew Cemetery. For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Keswick Ridge United Church, the Parkinson Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
