McCarthy, Anna C. “Currie” RN, 84, passed away Saturday February 19, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, surrounded with her family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward E. McCarthy; son, David E. McCarthy (Sharon Butterfield), Halifax; step-granddaughter, Michelle Butterfield, Calgary, AB; number of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Irene Currie;Visitation will take place from 1 pm until 2 pm followed by funeral service at 2 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Jay Ettinger will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Falmouth Centre Cemetery, Falmouth, NS. Family flowers only.
