Katherine ‘Kaye’ MacDonald, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2011, in her 89th year at Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Jamesville, N.S., she was the daughter of the late James M. and Sadie (Campbell) MacNeil. She was a member of St. Columba parish, Iona.
Kaye and Bill were married in Boston, where she spent many years working in health care. Upon retirement, they returned to Jamesville.
Kaye had a great love of animals and children.
She is survived by brothers, Malcolm MacNeil, Sydney; several nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friend, Mae.
She was predeceased by her husband, William ‘Bill’ MacDonald; brother, James C. MacNeil; sister, Anna (Hector) MacNeil.
The body will be resting at St. Columba Parish Centre, Iona, Monday, March 14, 2011, with visitation hours 2-8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at St. Columba Church with Rev. Paul Abbass officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Iona.
