BURKE, John G. – Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on March 11, 2011 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, John G. Burke of Bay Bulls in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife Rita (Stone), grandson Ricky O’Driscoll and sister Mary Tobin. Leaving to mourn his daughters: Sandra Cahill (Kevin), Charmaine Ford (Gus) and Jane Dunphy (Ray - deceased) and her family. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren: John, Meghan, Valerie, Vanessa, Bobby and Virginia and six great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn two brothers: Frank (Stella) and Gerard (Mary - deceased), and three nephews: Frankie, Gerry and Randy. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home in Bay Bulls. Visitation hours from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13. Funeral Mass on Monday, at 11:00 a.m. from Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Bay Bulls. Interment to be held at Our Lady of Mount Loretta Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bay Bulls.
