THOMPSON, Major Lillian – Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle on October 22, 2008, Major Lillian Thompson, aged 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Major Clarence Thompson in 2005. Left with wonderful memories are her daughter Marilyn; special friend June Layden; brother-in-law Wallace (Barbara) Thompson; sisters-in-law: Major Daisy (Garland) Skeard. Alma Peach, Wilma Parsons, Bernice Tibbo, Margaret Thompson, Winnifred Thompson and Mildred Barrett and a wide circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Thursday, Oct. 23 and Friday, Oct. 24 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Adam’s Avenue at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008 with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
