Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, Doris Ethel Diamond, aged 85 years, formerly of Pouch Cove. Predeceased by husband Edward (2006) and daughter Norma (1978). Leaving to mourn son Ted (Lynn); daughters Joan Butt (Walter) and Betty Sullivan (Kevin); eight grandchildren Lindsay Nichols (Vincent), Caitlin Doyle (Adam), Jane Elisabeth Diamond, Kerry Butt (Joy), Valetta Hudson (Kerry), Kevin Sullivan (Roxanne), Shelley Sullivan (Andrew Harvey) and Derek Williams; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Minnie Burt, St. John’s; sister-in-law Marion Trickett, Brigus; son-in-law Herbert Williams; nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services to be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Pouch Cove.
