It is with saddened hearts that the family of Marjorie I. Harvey of Beaverdam, NB announce her passing on March 12, 2011 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 105. Born in Beaverdam, NB, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Emily (Jones) Ryder and wife of the late Garnet Harvey. Marjorie was a member of the Baptist Church, Beaverdam Guild and will be fondly remembered for her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She is survived by her son Kenneth “Ken” Harvey (Alta) of Kingsclear, daughter Fraetha Lavigne of Kingsley; a brother Melvin of Fredericton; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; two cousins Geraldine Robinson (Jim) of Cornwall, ONT, Milton Jones (Joan) of Quispamsis; as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Ernest, and son in law Eddie.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 14, 2011 and Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7to 9 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road. Funeral service will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Bruce McKenna will officiate assisted by Rev. Bob Johnson.
