Florence A. Farrell of Harvey, NB passed away March 12, 2011 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. Born in 1930 at Canterbury, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Luetta (Price) Gould. While her career began as a teacher, Florence will be remembered by many for the passion and enthusiasm she brought to her position while working for many years as Activities Coordinator at the Wauklehegen Manor in McAdam. She later offered unending hours of volunteer service at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and Kings Landing Historical Settlement. Florence is survived by her husband, Horace S. Farrell; a daughter, Dale Grant (Murray), Perth Andover, NB; Garnett Farrell (Janet), Ancaster, ON; Perry Farrell (Cathy), McAdam, NB and three granddaughters, Jessica Grant, Laura Leslie/Farrell (James) and Cassidy Farrell; a sister, Estelle Dunphy/Fox (Murray), Nanaimo British Columbia; a brother, Darrell Gould, (Nina), Fredericton; a sister-in-law, Althea (Bunny) Vye, Newcastle, NB; a brother-in-law, Charles Dow, Woodstock, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Winnifred Dow and three brothers, George, Hazen and Robert Gould.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, 53 Rockland Drive, McAdam, NB with Right Rev. G. C. Lemmon officiating.
