We, the family of the late Georgina (Mercer) MacDonald, would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who gave their support during our recent loss. A heartfelt thank you to all who telephoned, sent condolences, e-mails, flowers, food and charitable donations in Mom’s memory. A special thank you to Pastor Kevin Mattatall of the Cape Breton Christian Fellowship Church for all you did for our family with your words of encouragement and comfort during our time of sorrow. The service you gave was so beautiful, it was heartfelt, personal and touched each and every one of us. Thank you also to Amy, Mark, Pastor Bruce DeYoung, organist and choir for your inspirational gift of music. Thank you to the pallbearers Jason Comer, Daniel Mc Donald, Devon Smith, Paul Dalziel, Brian Mackie and Craig MacInnis for walking beside Mom. Thank you to Joe Maidment and Shelley Littler for the readings during the service. To Judy MacDougall (daughter), we thank you for the eulogy. You spoke to our hearts with beautiful memories of Mom’s life. Thank you to Curry Funeral Home for helping us with all the arrangements and Mike and Joe Curry for your compassion and professionalism during our difficult time. To all who cared for her during her stay at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, especially Kendra Hill (nurse Unit 3A) who went above and beyond her call of duty. You will always be in our hearts. To anyone we may have forgotten, thank you for your thoughtfulness. Mom would be so pleased with all of you, we’re sure she is smiling down on us all. Thank you and God Bless!
