PEGGIE WARD
Lieu de naissance : North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada
Lieu de décès : Kamloops, Colombie Britannique, Canada
Date de décès : 12 mars 2011
We are sad to announce the passing of a very special person, Peggie Ward, who passed away with her family by her side in Kamloops, B.C. on March 12, 2011 at the age of 76.
Peggie was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. She is predeceased by her highschool sweetheart and husband, Raymond, and is survived by her two children Laurie (Dave) Royce of Kamloops, and Darrell (Michele) Ward of Ypsilanti, Michigan; five wonderful grandchildren, Nicole (Wil) Brewer, Angela (Steve) Ward, Jesse (Danielle) Royce, Katie and Jillian Royce; two great grandsons, Nathan and Matthew; her brother Jim; and sisters Sharon, Sally and Anne.
Many people knew Peggie through her volunteer work at Desert Gardens and would read about her adventures in the Kamloops Senior Connector.
After the passing of our Dad in 1969, Mom moved us from Saskatoon back to Kamloops to be closer to family and assumed the role of single mom. Through the years she taught us many things, one of the most important being that it's not what happens to you in life that counts as much as how you deal with it. A belief that she also demonstrated while fighting an extremely courageous battle with cancer.
We are all so very proud of you Mom.
You will be forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Royal Inland Hospital and the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice.
At the request of Peggie, there will be no public service. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation or the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice Society.
