The death of Wylie T. "Pat" Darragh. 85, of Linden, NS, occurred on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Linden Pat was a son of the late Theodore and Edna (Furlong) Darragh.
Pat was a farmer, a trucker, and a family man. He was a great conversationalist but his greatest joy was his huge family and his hockey games.
He was a man of great faith and a member of the Wallace River Baptist Church.
Pat will be sadly missed by his wife of sixty years, Shiela (nee Chapman); five sons, Austin (Anita), Dale (Wanda), Steven (Sue), Jeffrey (Rhonda) and Derek (Vicki); four daughters, Sharon (George) Weeks, Gail (David) Williams, Joy (Charles) Trenholm, and Trudy (Wesley) Adshade; twenty-eight grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Pat was predeceased by an infant daughter, Connie.
Arrangements are in the care of W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water Street, Oxford, NS (902-447-2167). Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from the Wallace River Baptist Church, 2441 Highway 368, Wallace River, from 12 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm. Rev. Jack R. Briggins officiating.
Donations in Pat's memory can be made to the Renwick United Church Cemetery or The Wallace River Baptist Church.
