
Lillian Smith
Smith, Lillian Jean wife of the late Dean Smith (2005) passed away March 14th, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Apple River, NS, April 28th, 1930 to the late Clayton and Minnie (Leslie) Atkinson. She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Ginny) of Stony Plain, AB and Greg (Cecile) of Upper Coverdale, her sister Jean (Forrest) MacArthur of Alma, her grandchildren; Arick, Mark, Adam, all of AB., her niece Lynn (John) and nephews Chris (Lisa) and Lee (Connie). Prior to her retirement she was a pharmacist at Jean Coutu, St. George Street. She began her career as a secretary at Eaton’s. She was a choir member of St. Paul’s United Church, an original member of Les Chanteur de Mascaret Choral Group and secretary of the Moncton Kinettes. With respect to Lillian’s wishes there will be no visitation. The funeral service will take place at St. Paul’s United Church, 404 Cleveland Ave. Riverview at 11:00 am on Friday, March 18th. Reception to follow in the church hall. Private family interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
