Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in the presence of his family on Friday, July 17, 2009, of Kelligrews, age 84 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Rita; two sons: John Jr. (Theresa), Jim (Twilla); daughter Heather Kaiser (David); step-son Glen Lessard (Florence); step-daughters: Elaine Duggan (Cyril), Judy Stratton (Joe); three foster-sons: Les Johnson (Barb), Murray Johnson (Kelly), Bob Johnson (Lynn); 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, also nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral services will take place on Monday, July 20th, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment in the R.C.
