Shirley Cook
1926-2011 - Shirley H. Cook, 85, of Forest Dale Home formerly of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2011 at the home with her family by her side. Shirley was born in Surrey, Albert County, NB on November 24th, 1926. She was the daughter the late Lloyd and Lauangie (Terris) Simpson. She was an office worker until her retirement. She was always smiling and enjoyed a good laugh. She had a love for doing crossword puzzles. Her family knows Shirley is now at peace and she leaves them with many good memories and will live in their hearts forever. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Darlene Crew of Lower Sackville, NS, Heather Crossman (Larry) of Hillsborough; son Glendon of Hillsborough; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and by her sister Muriel Hawks of Hillsborough; brothers Ted, Don and Vaughn all of Hillsborough and several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents she was predeceased by an infant daughter Mavis Angela; sisters Marion Yeomans, Ruby Smith; brothers Curtis and Glendon and special companion Gradus Wolf.
Honoring Shirley's own wishes there will be no visitation or flowers. A memorial Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, March 18th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Interment will be held at Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, NB. For those who wish donations made in memory of Shirley the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
