The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, of Lois Eleanor Hockin (nee Bunston) of Summerside, in her 100th year.
Lois was born on August 15, 1911, in New York State, U.S.A., to her late parents, John and Jenny Bunston. Beloved wife of the late Reginald Hockin and loving mother of Dean (Sharon) Couse of Fall River, N.S., Helen Andrews of Kensington, June (John) Caseley of Millvale and Robert (Patrice) Hockin of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Lynn, Shelley, Eustie, Michael, Rob, Timothy and Mallory; her 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband and parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, Ivan Bunston; her sister, Bernice Bunston; and her son-in-law, Hillard Andrews.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, March 19, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside, at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 6-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lois’ memory to the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.
