Lieu de décès : Terre-Neuve, Canada

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rosalie Horton on July 18, 2009, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with her loving family at her side.
Born in Sommerville, Mass., USA, Rosalie was the daughter of the late John and Marguerite Campbell. Moving to Canada at a young age, Rosalie’s childhood years were spent in Trenton. She attended primary through High School at St. John’s Academy. After her marriage, she became and remained a resident of New Glasgow. She fell in love with her husband Henry after World War II and they were married shortly thereafter.
As a loving and caring mother, Rosalie devoted her time to raising her eight children. A special place in her heart was reserved not only for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but also for her church and all living things. Her red begonias, songbirds and Friday night friends at Norman’s were very special to her as was the music of Sinatra, Elvis, and Patsy Cline.
Rosalie is survived by daughters: Lee (Vic) Langille, New Glasgow; Cathy LaMothe, Wenatchee, Wash.; Cynthia Horton (Peter), Yellowknife, NWT; Karen (Bruce) Skinner, New Glasgow; Patricia Horton, St. Maarten, NA; and sons: Ken (Joanne), Dartmouth; James (Susan), Ottawa; and John (Cynthia), New Glasgow. Her precious grandchildren are: Nicole (Nick) Langille; Jennifer (Paul) Murray; Angela Langille; Mark (Dyane), Craig (Joanne) and Jason Horton; Megan (Bruce) Dorman; Steven (Dawn) Horton; Andrew Pine; Andrew (Olivia) and Michael (Jenny) LaMothe; Brad (Samantha) Mac Pherson; Edison and Rosalie Skinner, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Rosalie was predeceased by her husband Henry and son-in-law Raymond LaMothe.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22nd. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 23rd at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton.
Family flowers only. Donations in Rosalie’s memory may be made to the SPCA or a charity of your choice. Condolences at: www.rhporter.ca
You will live forever in our hearts. Your goodbye wave at the front door will be so missed.
