Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Betty Wiseman (nee Power) of Harbour Grace; formerly of South Wales, UK, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Edgar; daughter: Gloria; son-in-law: Ernest F. Allen Jr.; brothers: Frederick John and Albert; sisters: Molly, Margaret, Winnie and Joan. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Diane Allen, Wareham, Massachusetts, USA; one son: Robert (Alison), London, ON; son-in-law: Douglas Smith, St. John’s; nine grandchildren: Jonathan (Debbie), Jason, Matthew, Darryl, Christine (Ryan), Stephanie, Heather (Kevin), Carlene and James; five great-grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle, Nathan, Daniel and Nora; sisters-in-law: Helen Noseworthy and Olive Andrews, both of St. John’s and Eleanor (James) Currenn, Ontario; brother-in-law: Robert Cole, St. John’s; also a large number of other relatives and friends.Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace.
