SUTHERLAND - Moira Myrna of Swift Current, SK passed away on Monday, July 13 at the Cypress Regional Hospital at the age of 65 years. Moira was born in Regina, SK July 30, 1943, was married to James Sinclair Sutherland, August 22 1969 and worked as a nurses aid. She enjoyed knitting and crafting and was a devout Catholic who regularly attended church when her health allowed. After her health began to fail, Moira remained committed to her faith in God through daily prayers. Moira leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Natasha Sutherland; grandson Matthew Sutherland; sister Evelyn (Ron) Mohr; brothers Gord (Joyce Reynolds) Cox and Cliff (Maureen) Cox; Nephews Steve (Christine) Cox, Tim (Karen) Cox, Mike (Nikki) Cox, Dave Mohr, Alan Mohr, and Christopher Cluney; nieces Sandy (Glenn) Kearney and Christine (Sean) Gahagan as well as numerous grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Myrtle Cox, her father John Cox and her former husband James (Tip) Sutherland. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Swift Current, SK with Father Rick Krofchek officiating.THe Organist was Yolande Gorrill Soloist was provided by Sandi Barrie, the reader will be Dawn Luther and Vivian Bosch. Pallbearers were Matthew Sutherland (grandson), Steve Cox (nephew), Tim Cox (nephew), and Dave Mohr (nephew). Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.
