Donald Parker Bailey

Bailey, Donald Parker passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Frederick and Etta (Parker) Bailey. He attended Truro schools and served for a time in the navy. He then worked for the CNR from where he retired after 37 years. He was a member of First United Church. Don is survived by his wife, Catherine (Kinsman); daughters, Cynthia (Kim) Hamilton, Bedford, Janice Bailey, London, Ont.; brother, Harold (Alice) Comox, B.C.; sister, Elizabeth (Ernest) Martin. London, Ont.; by his loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Victoria and Michael Hamilton, all of Bedford; also several nieces and nephews whom he was very close to. He was predeceased by sisters, Cathleen Russell, Nettie MacKenzie; brothers, Howard and Austin. As per Don’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Padmore and Dr. Phillips for their care and concern. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home.
