It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Keating announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Thursday July 16th 2009 in his 87th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Ralph Keating, Michael Keating, Donald Keating, Brenden (Cathie) Keating, Graham Keating, Jamie (Tina) Keating, Darilyn (Winston) Pinksen, Clara Keating (Jim McIntosh), Joyce (Raymond) Rogers, & Carolyn Keating (John Hurley), his wife Shirley Joyce Keating, fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, his sisters: Mrs. Adele Walsh, Mrs. Alice Harston, and sister-in-law Flo Keating. Thomas was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Keating, his son Daniel Keating, and his brother Sylvester Keating. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his extended family. The family received family and friends from the Anglican Church in Howley, on Sunday July 19th 2009 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service of Christian burial took place Monday July 20th, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Father Aidan Devin officiating, the burial followed at the family plot of the church cemetery in Howley.
