Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Theresa Power, aged 87 years, originally from Avondale. Predeceased by her husband Andrew Power and infant son Andrew Gerard. Left with cherished memories are her two sons: Michael (Alice) Power, Pugwash, NS, Wayne (Marion Power), Calgary, Alberta; two daughters: Betty Lou (Lloyd) Pitcher, Stephenville, Darlene (Todd) Hynes, Mt. Pearl, one brother, Bill (Helen) Meaney, California and five grandchildren: Krista (Dan) Bennett, Heather Pitcher (Scott Peddle), Kevin (Melissa) Power, Michael (Tiffany) Power, Melissa Hynes and four great-grandchildren: Jarrett, Easton, Halle and Seth. Also remembered by her Avondale family: Helen (Jackie) O’Leary, Kevin (Laura) Parsley, Theresa (Gary) O’Leary, Mary Mahoney and numerous friends. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Saturday, March 19th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 21st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
