A year has passed, dear Judy,
Since you were called away,
How well do we remember,
That sad and weary day.
Suffering much, you murmured not,
We watched you day by day,
We prayed that your dear life,
Would not be taken away.

Only a memory of bygone days,
And a sigh for a face unseen,
But a constant feeling that God alone,
Knows just what should have been.
