NEW GLASGOW – It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Jean Fraser – a much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Born August 13, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Himmelman) Fraser of Bridgeville.
She was employed at J.J. Grant Ltd as a bookkeeper for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and Allan Pollock Group.
She is survived by a sister, Anne Green; daughters: Dianne (Tyke) Patchett, Ginny MacIsaac, Elaine (Stuart) MacDonald, and son, Craig; grandchildren: Kim (Tom) MacEwan, Allison Avery (Andrew Boulter), Andrew Avery, Jason MacIsaac, Mark (Diane) MacIsaac, Christine MacIsaac, Ryan and Rob MacDonald, Brittany and Mitchell Fraser, and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Alex Fraser; sisters, Roberta Jackson and Isabelle Hamilton; brother, Gerald Fraser and stillborn granddaughter, Gabriella Fraser.
Visitation 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, with Rev. Richard Sand officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or a charity of choice.
