BURTON, Paul (Edward) – August 16, 1948 - October 24, 2008. Passed peacefully way after a courageous battle with cancer, at home, on October 24, 2008. Predeceased by his loving parents William and Ellen Burton, mother-in-law Phyllis Skanes-Malloy, his brother Ronald Burton, Ronald’s wife Hazel and brother-in-law Frank Oliver. Left to celebrate his life, his loving wife of 39 years Trudy (Skanes); his three children and six grandchildren: Paul and Janice (Tyler, Zander and Keegan); Sheryl and Larry Lewis (Zachary and Emily); and Dwayne and Peggy (Beer) (Madison); also leaving to mourn four brothers and five sisters: Brendan (Betty), Kevin, David, Gus (Stella); Mary (Jerry Penney), Patricia (Wilson Butler), Gwynette (Stanley Butler), Anita (Walter St. Croix) and Sharon (William Hickey); numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends whose lives will be forever touched by his love and kindness. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John’s. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, October 27 at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
