Lieu de décès : Terre-Neuve, Canada
Date de décès : 20 juillet 2009

It is with deep sadness, that we, the family of Frank Daix Sr., regret to announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer. Frank died peacefully at home with his family at his side.
‘Da’ was born in Scotchtown and resided in New Waterford with his cherished wife of 59 years, Pauline (Faye), formerly of Dominion.
Frank was a loyal and devoted father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed auto mechanics, carpentry, playing guitar, horseshoes and watching a good game of hockey. Frank had a reputation as a tireless worker, building his own house and working as a coal miner for forty years in Glace Bay and New Waterford. Frank began his lifelong friendship with his God, Jehovah in 1957 and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1962. He fondly remembered pioneer, Frank Pokornick’s kindness, patience and encouragement in helping him uncover bible truths. Frank will be remembered for his faithfulness and strength despite much adversity throughout his life. He boldly spoke to all he knew and met about the trust he had in the bible’s promises for the future of a time when there would be no more pain, sickness or death (Revelation 21: 3,4). His hope rested in the “Resurrection”, where he longed to be reunited with his daughter, Emily. (John 5:28, 29)
Frank was predeceased by his mother and father, Gus and Mary (Pastuck) Daix; by his maternal grandparents who raised him, Frank and Emily (Fukula) Pastuck; paternal grandparents, Steve and Mary (Barton) Daix; daughter, Emily; sister Virginia (Tootsie) MacKinnon and son-in-law, Wayne Scott.
Frank is survived by his wife Pauline (Demeyere); daughters, Mary (Terrence) LeBlanc, Glace Bay, Marcella (Mike) Bennett, Glace Bay, Sandra (Myron) McNeil, Glace Bay, Velvet (Scott), Irricana, AB; sons, Frank Jr. (Dorothy), Sydney, Gus (Carmen), Birch Grove, and Daniel (Marjorie), New Waterford; grandchildren, Michael (Virginia), Mark (Dallas), Tammy (Jonathan), Eugenia (Brad), Jason (Deanna), Frankie Jr., David (Cella), Matthew, Daniel Jr., Carlene, Josh and Richard; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Mitchell, Ryan, Keith, Felicia, Kelsea, Dax and Cale.
