Age 84, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2011, after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre. Surrounded by his loving children: Lorna Montgomery (George), Ross (Cindy), Dean (Audrey Trickett), Gail (David Peters), Lisa (David Attwood), and their mother Effie; grandchildren: LeeAnn (Chris), Renee (Craig), Jennifer, Heather, Laura, Nicole, John, Ann, Sam, Harry, James, and Sam Hoddinott (Audrey). Also mourned by his sisters Doris, Bernice (Clarence), Lois (Charles), and brother Rex. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 5NA, the Palliative Care team and the Reverend Karen Thorne. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 12:00 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 2p.m. from Memorial United Church in Portugal Cove with interment to follow in the United Cemetery on the Bauline Line Extension.
