Passed away at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday, March 15th, Capt. Clayton Skinner of Fortune, in his 92th year. Predeceased by wife Ethel(Nee) Witherall of 52 years, also secound wife Lydia of 2 years. Leaving to mourn: Son Edward(Dora) of Upper Gullies, daughter Sarah Brady(John) of Fortune, son Albert(Sheila) of Brooks, Alberta, daughter Velma Browne(Gerald) of St. John's, son Corwin(Marie) of Fortune, daughter Barbara Tulk(Leonard) of St. John's, daughter Carolann Banfield(Lloyd) of Grand Bank, son Garry(Karen) of Grand Bank, son Wilson(Janet) of Alberta; 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and also a large circle of other relatives and friends.Funeral service was conducted by Rev.Neal Buffett from All Saints Anglican Church Fortune at 2:00 p.m.on Friday March 18th 2011.Organist was Henrietta Pope.Pall Bearers were George E Skinner,Sam Cumby,Harold Lake,Steven Barnes,Sam Barnes,& Carl Crews.Cremation to follow,and Inurnment to follow at a later date.
