Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, on Monday, March 14th, 2011, Millicent Ford (nee Brake) of Garnish, formerly of Corner Brook, NL, in her 78th year.
Leaving to mourn, son Darryl (Gloria), daughter Darlene (Clifford Grandy); granddaughters Diane (Chad Antle), Cheryl (Aaron Andrews); brothers Wilbur (Marge), Jim (Nina), Eric (Dar), Allan (Darlene); sisters Hilda Payne, Mildred (Wallace Shears), Evelyn Gardiner; special friend Jesse Cribb and family; nieces and nephews; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband Eric, infant son Eric Jr., parents Sydney & Wilhlemina Brake, brothers Gerald, Aubrey and Max, and sister Una. Rev. Mary Harris conducted the funeral service at the Garnish United Church on Thursday, March 17 th, at 2:00 PM, with interment at the United Church Cemetery in Garnish. In lieu of flowers, donations in Millicent's memory may be made to the ALS Society of Canada. Pall bearers were Eric Brake, Wilbur Brake, Gordon Cribb, Claude Cribb, Chad Antle, and Aaron Andrews.
